SERVICES & FEES
A fitness coaching "session" or "consultation" begins with an interested person filling out our online Questionnaire, upon which we receive and review; and then call or email that person to schedule our initial consultation. The questionnaire provides us with one's medical and exercise history, along with some nutrition notes and lifestyle habits that we take into account to develop an individualized fitness program. We will further discuss fitness goals, and together design a weekly fitness program and schedule that fits your goals, personality, daily schedule, and present and desired fitness level.
Whether working with one of us 1 time or weekly, we will do everything we can to help you get the most out of your fitness program. We will help you define, refine, and achieve your fitness success. Use our services as much as you can or need to.
1-on-1 Sessions:
(One regular "session" is a 50-60 minute consultation / workout)

Partner Sessions:
- $40 per person - 1 full session (no package discount)
*Daily fees paid upon entrance ($6 non-res daily guest fee)
FITNESS COACHING FAQ
Q. How many sessions does it typically take to establish a program?
A. We respect and appreciate that everyone is different, as it depends on your experience, and overall "comfort level" in the gym, fitness level, resources, and the complexity of the program you desire. Also, if motivation and accountability is something to be worked on, this may increase the need for a few follow up sessions. You can "use us as much as you can or need to." We will discuss this, and we NEVER pressure anyone into purchasing extra sessions. When you fill out the Questionnaire, you can guess-timate how many times you may need.
Q. Why should I choose Webster Groves Personal Fitness Coaching?
A. Whether one on one, two at a time, or with a group, Personal Fitness Coaching typically consists of meeting with a fitness professional in the weight room to get a workout in you normally would not perform on your own. Fitness Coaches can assist you in learning new exercises, pushing you harder than you normally would by yourself, increasing your accountability to improve your success with goal setting, or sometimes simply to do the thinking for you after a long day of work. Working with any one of our fitness professionals includes all of these things and more.
Q. Do you offer nutritional consulting?
A. We offer consulting, guidance, and tips. We provide food journals (found on the Downloads page), that we will review and discuss, but we do not write complete nutritional programs. "Proper" nutrition can account for 75% of the battle towards reaching your goals, so we will discuss nutrition at length, and assist you with a progressive guide towards improved nutritional awareness and habits, but if we feel you need further guidance from a nutrition professional, I will recommend a Registered Dietitian of whom I work with regularly to provide the most complete and collaborative guidance possible.
Q. Do I need a medical clearance for Fitness Coaching?
A. In some cases. You fill out a "PAR-Q" (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) and another medical history questionnaire prior to training that are designed to identify the small percentage of individuals for whom physical activity may be inappropriate or should have medical advice concerning what physical activity is appropriate for them. Also, if you have been recently released from cardiac rehabilitation, certain orthopedic therapy, or are taking certain medications (eg for blood pressure) that may effect your exercise performance and safety, we will ask you for a medical clearance. We will discuss this before hitting the weight room, and will require a fax number to your physician's office.
Q. I'm not a member at the Webster Groves Fitness Center, can I still work with you?
A. Absolutely! This costs an additional $6.00 to be paid at the front desk.
Q. I only exercise at home and outside, can you still assist me?
A. Absolutely, we develop programs to fit your lifestyle and your schedule. If this means you only come to the fitness center once a week, or you do 100% of your exercise outside and in your basement, we will work to complement your efforts to keep you on the right track. Whether you have a weight room at home, or no equipment at all, we'll design a program for you.

Moved beyond my workout 'rut' with education and motivation.
Two and a half years ago I was in a workout "rut" doing the same exercises and not pushing myself the way I knew I could be pushed. I felt I had more (hidden) potential and realized I needed help finding it. That's when I began training with Dave Reddy, who consistently challenged, educated, and encouraged me. I began performing new exercises and lifting amounts of weight I never thought I could before.
